Job Overview:
Agrico is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior HR Clerk to assist our Human Resources department in various administrative tasks. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to gain experience in HR processes, employee relations, and administrative support. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling employee records, assisting in recruitment processes, and supporting daily HR activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, contracts, and performance evaluations.
- Assist in recruitment processes, including posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Process HR-related documentation, such as leave forms, employment contracts, and terminations.
- Support the onboarding process for new employees by preparing documentation and coordinating orientation.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Help with the administration of payroll and benefits processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team in day-to-day tasks.
- Assist in organizing employee training sessions, workshops, and events.
Job requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) with a relevant HR or administration qualification.
- 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or HR support role (experience in HR is advantageous but not required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Willingness to learn and grow in the HR field.
- Team player with a proactive attitude.
