Job description
Agrico is a leading producer and distributor of agricultural equipment in Southern Africa. We
have an exciting opportunity for a mechanical engineer to join the team at our head office in
Bellville, Cape Town. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, manufacture
and bringing to market of irrigation systems, implements and a variety of other products.
Job requirements
Required and recommended qualifications, knowledge and experience:
● Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
● Fluent in both Afrikaans and English
● Willing and able to spend time on the factory floor and field to build and test
prototypes, get designs into production and implement systems.
● Good people skills to engage directly with customers and technicians
● Experience in mechanical design and manufacturing of products
● Experience with Autodesk Inventor / Fusion / Vault / AutoCAD
● Experience with CAM and/or manual CNC programming
● Experience in project management
● Experience working with sheet metal and steel
● Experience in the design of injection moulded plastic parts and injection moulds.
● A passion for the agricultural industry
