Job description
Agrico Bellville has a job vacancy for a skilled irrigation designer who will design irrigation systems, ranging from overhead, semi permanent and solid set sprinklers to centre pivots and micro and drip-irrigation systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Sourcing new potential clients
- Surveying
- Â Irrigation system design
- Technical assistance for clients when required
- Evaluation and upgrading of existing irrigation schemes, with regards to energy-efficiency
- Quotations, draft bill of quantity
- Pump selections and recommendation
Job requirements
The following will serve as recommendation:
- Min 2 years’ experience as irrigation designer
- Code 08 drivers licence with own transport
- Experience working with Model Maker/ AutoCAD
- Grade 12 with Maths as a subject.
- Agriculture degree/diploma ( will be to your advantage)
- Completed SABI courses ( will be to your advantage)
- Proficient in Afrikaans and English
- Honest, diligent and earnest
- Willing to work overtime
- Willing to travel
- Good communication skills
