Job description

Agrico Lichtenburg is looking for a dynamic irrigation technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems and components.

  • Installation of borehole and centrifugal pumps as well as troubleshooting on prior installations
  • Wiring and installation of new centre pivots as well as troubleshooting on existing systems
  • Providing technical support to clients using Agrico Web Control
  • Assembly, installation, troubleshooting of irrigation systems and components
  • Project management

Job requirements

  • Code 08 driver’s licence and own transport
  • Matric (Compulsory)
  • Proficient in Afrikaans and English
  • General knowledge of irrigation systems
  • Honest, diligent and earnest
  • Willing to work overtime or flexible hours
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in pump installation and centre pivot wiring
  • Knowledge of pumps, filters, borehole pumps, variable frequency drives (VSD’s)
  • Computer literacy
