Current transformers for Pump Controllers

Say hello to the latest feature addition for our Web Control Pump Controllers. Our Pump Controller now supports up to four current transformers to be connected simultaneously. The result? Reliable and accurate current measurement of your devices with an added fault detection system to automatically disable your pumps if a fault occurs.

Since the launch of our Pump Controller, we have transformed irrigation in Southern Africa by allowing precise control of one or several pumps. We have saved our customers millions of kilowatt-hours of energy by matching the supply of water from pumps with the demand from the irrigation systems. The pump controller can control any motor starter from a simple electromechanical starter to a sophisticated variable frequency drive (VFD). The system allows you to maximise energy optimisation.

Benefits

  • The pump controller will be able to read RMS current from four CTs making it accurate.

  • The four CTs will be connected to the four relays of the pump controller and will be able to start/stop four pumps.

  • Each CT has its own min/max ampere and trip time (in seconds) enabling multiple fault detection.

  • It will enable the pump controller to stop for fault conditions such as output overcurrent, output undercurrent, and no communication.

  • Can be configured for reporting current only or to react on fault condition.

  • Can be used with old and new pump controllers.

  • Will be able to view measured current on the Web Control platform.
