Agrico opens Paarl’s first one-stop irrigation shop

A brand new Agrico branch is now Paarl’s ultimate one-stop shop for irrigation. From the 24th of August 2021, Agrico Paarl has been serving the surrounding community with an extensive range of irrigation products, as well as efficient service and expert advice.

Paarl — a valuable contributor to agriculture

According to Walter Andrag, managing director of Agrico, Paarl is the ideal location for the irrigation supplier and manufacturer’s latest branch.

Paarl has a well-established and thriving agricultural community, largely built upon irrigation. Therefore, it is a key area for Agrico,” says Andrag.

Agrico Paarl serves the needs of both the agricultural community and town residents, by supplying large-scale irrigation systems and technical services, as well as general garden irrigation components. The store carries stock of more than 2000 unique items.

To add maximum value, Agrico has created a true one-stop shop experience for all things irrigation. Situated on 13 Suid Street, Agrico Paarl offers day-to-day retail of irrigation components, consultation and advice, as well as seamless delivery and installation services.

Fast service, technical advice and depth of knowledge

An important focus of the branch is consultation with the client. Agrico Paarl houses contracted technical advisors and experts in the vineyard and agricultural practices, who can offer the best advice and latest technology to producers.

“An irrigation farmer’s time is valuable. They expect fast and convenient service, and an Agrico branch can offer them just that,” says Andrag. “I am excited for the opportunity to assist growers with knowledgeable input and the latest technology to farm more effortlessly and profitably.”

Gerrie van Zyl, an irrigation specialist with more than 30 years of experience, serves as head technical representative of the new branch. According to van Zyl, he is always excited about his job, and with the opening of the new branch, even more so.

Van Zyl believes that the Agrico branch will bring about large change in the Paarl, Simondium, Klapmuts and Franschhoek areas and will be beneficial to the community as a whole.

“Residents of Paarl and the surrounding areas now have a store offering a wide variety of quality irrigation products from stock, backed up by good and fast service, technical advice and depth of knowledge. We intend to make a valuable contribution to the area as a whole.”

To efficiently serve the community, the Paarl branch functions in close connection with Agrico Wellington, which provides access to a workshop for pump repairs, service and maintenance. This ensures that clients always receive the assistance required.
